What time is check-in and check-out at Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites in downtown Victoria BC?

Check-in begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is at 11:00 AM. If you require early check-in or late check-out, please inquire with our Guest Services team. Requests are assessed based on availability. If you arrive early or depart late, we are happy to securely store your luggage so you can continue exploring downtown Victoria.

Is early check-in or late check-out available?

Early check-in and late check-out requests are accommodated whenever possible, based on availability. Please contact the front desk on the day of arrival or departure.

Tip: If you’d like to explore downtown Victoria without your bags, we’re happy to securely store your luggage before check-in or after check-out.

Why should I book directly with Chateau Victoria?

Booking directly ensures the best value for your stay, 50% off overnight parking, access to exclusive offers, and greater flexibility for changes. Direct reservations also allow our on-site team to provide a more personalized experience tailored to your stay.

What is your cancellation policy for direct bookings?

For reservations booked directly with Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites, cancellations are permitted without penalty up to 24 hours prior to arrival. Within 24 hours of arrival, the full nightly rate will be charged. Group and contracted rates may have different terms.

Tip: If you booked through a third-party site, please refer to that provider’s cancellation policy, as we cannot modify their reservations.

Do you offer extended stays or monthly stays in downtown Victoria?

What are the differences between your one-bedroom suite types?

Am I speaking directly with the hotel when I call?

Yes—our reservations and guest services teams are located on-site in our lobby at 740 Burdett Ave, Victoria BC. If you’ve dialed one of the numbers on our website (1-800-663-5891 or 250-382-4221), you can be sure you’re speaking with the hotel directly.

Parking

Does Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites offer secure on-site parking in downtown Victoria?

Yes. We offer three secure self-serve on-site parking lots for overnight guests. A parking pass is provided at check-in and must be displayed on your dashboard. If you’re having trouble finding an open spot, please allow us to park your vehicle for you.

Tip: Check-in time (4pm) can be busy, especially on holiday weekends—arriving a bit earlier can help with parking availability.

What are the overnight parking fees?

Guests who book directly with us receive 50% off overnight parking. Standard parking is $20 per vehicle per night. When booking direct, parking is $10 per night per vehicle.

Tip: Our lots are patrolled for your safety—please display your pass to avoid a ticket or tow.

Does the hotel have EV charging stations?

Yes. We offer six complimentary EV charging stations for overnight guests. If all stations are occupied, our team can notify you when one becomes available, or please allow us to park your vehicle for you.

Is parking available for guests dining at Vista 18 or Clive’s, or attending meetings and events?

Yes. Complimentary parking passes are available for guests attending meetings, events, or dining at Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge or Clive’s Classic Lounge.

Tip: If our lots are full, the Greater Victoria Public Library is a short walk away and offers affordable temporary parking (no overnight).

Is Chateau Victoria a pet-friendly hotel? What is your pet policy?

Yes. Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites offers designated dog-friendly rooms and welcomes up to two dogs per room. A nightly pet fee of $25 per dog plus applicable taxes applies. We kindly ask guests to review our full pet policy prior to arrival to ensure a comfortable stay for everyone. Dogs must remain on a leash in all common areas.

Do you have a fitness centre?

Yes. Our on-site fitness centre is available to hotel guests and includes modern cardio and strength equipment.

Does the hotel have a pool and hot tub?

Yes. We feature an indoor heated skylit pool and hot tub, available to overnight guests.

Do you offer a complimentary shuttle in downtown Victoria?

Yes. We provide a complimentary shuttle within a 2.5km radius of the hotel, including pick-up from the cruise ship terminal, US ferry, and seaplane terminal. Please call 250-382-4221 after clearing customs and we will dispatch the shuttle. Please note that airport and BC Ferries service are not included.

Is breakfast included with my stay?

Breakfast is not automatically included in room rates. Guests can enjoy breakfast daily at Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge, Victoria’s only rooftop restaurant. Room service is also available.

Tip: Vista 18 opens at 7am daily—a great time to enjoy the city views as downtown wakes up.

Is the hotel smoke-free?

Yes. Chateau Victoria is a 100% smoke-free hotel, including balconies. Thank you for using designated smoking areas outside of our parking lots.

Do rooms include coffee facilities?

Yes. Every room offers a Nespresso coffee machine. If you prefer drip coffee, Vista 18 can pour you a cup to go. There is also a Starbucks directly across the street.


Dining

Where is Vista 18 located?

Vista 18 Restaurant & Lounge is located on the 18th floor of Chateau Victoria and is Victoria’s only rooftop restaurant.

Is Vista 18 open to non-hotel guests?

Yes. Vista 18 is open to hotel guests, local visitors, and the public.

Are there vegan and dietary-friendly options at Vista 18?

Yes. We can accommodate dietary needs, including vegan options. Please let your server know about any allergies or preferences.

What type of cuisine does Vista 18 serve?

Vista 18 features locally sourced, seasonal cuisine inspired by global flavours. Menus change seasonally based on fresh ingredients. Visit the Vista 18 website to view current menus.

What are Vista 18’s hours for breakfast, happy hour, and dinner?
  • Breakfast: 7am–11am daily (7am–12:30pm Saturdays & Sundays)
  • Happy Hour: 3:30pm–6pm daily
  • Dinner: 5pm–10pm daily (plus late night bites 10pm–11pm Fridays & Saturdays)
Do I need a reservation for Vista 18?

Reservations are highly recommended and can be made on the Vista 18 reservations page.

Can I make reservations at Clive’s Classic Lounge?

Yes. We strongly encourage guests to reserve a table in advance. Please book via the Clive’s reservations page. Walk-ins are also welcome and seated on a first come, first served basis Tuesday to Saturday from 5pm.

Tip: Visiting with a group? Consider reserving the Back Snug private area (no venue fees—just a deposit to hold the space).
