Penthouse Party Photoshoot

The Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is a Victoria-local’s favourite for staycations, dining, and hosting meetings & events. We are in need of some volunteers to hang out in our beautiful venue spaces so that we can capture some magical moments of friends building community. Our goal is to document our time together in order to produce the assets we need for inviting other guests to gather in these spaces who are also looking to create/ maintain meaningful connections.

Here are the details:

  • The overall ask is for 3 hours of your time on Wednesday, March 13th 4:30-7:30pm with an option to stay later if you’re having a good time (hard out by 10pm)!
  • We need a minimum of 12 people in attendance for the duration to make this work (max 20)
  • RSVP DEADLINE: Wednesday, Feb 28th @ midnight
  • Spouses are welcome & a separate multipurpose room will be provided for kids if required (more on this below)
  • The event will be photographed by a professional (Dominic Hall) – media release forms will be provided
      • This is a “lifestyle” shoot, meaning we want this event to be as organic as possible with minimal “posing/ staging”
      • Tip: if you’re feeling self conscious with a camera roaming the room, lock in on your intention to build meaningful connections with those around you to help shift your focus… and have fun with feeling awkward!
  • Attire: Business Casual (most people will be coming directly from work)
      • Tip:┬áIt may be a bit chilly on the patio, so please layer up – you will be asked to not wear jacket

Event Itinerary

4:30pm-5pm Orientation

We will meet in Penthouse Suite 1601 @ 4:30pm: Penthouse Virtual Tour

  • Complimentary parking provided – check in at the front desk for the “Penthouse Photoshoot” and they will issue you a parking pass
  • Media release forms to be completed at this time
  • Those with Kids will be taken down to our Penwell Multipurpose Room on the 2nd floor where Maddie will host pizza and punch
  • We must complete this orientation by 5pm – when the official event begins (and photographer is on the clock)!

5pm-6pm Harbour Room

Appies and Wine in Vista 18’s private event venue @ 5pm: Harbour Room Virtual Tour

  • To help us stage our group dining events, you’ll be served a plated appetizer course
  • We will provide a menu selection of food and drink including non-alcoholic options
  • Please state any dietary restrictions in the notes on your RSVP (button below)

6pm-7:30pm+ Penthouse 1601


  • Freely mix and mingle inside this spacious suite and outside on it’s 1500 sq ft patio
  • Due to restrictions on budget – this portion of the event will be served non-alcoholic drinks – feel free to BYO wine or hard liquor to mix with our batched mocktail punches if you like!
  • Food – a variety of cold/ hot canapes and desert platters will be provided – we’ll need a few minutes to photograph them before you dig in
  • As mentioned above, if you’re outside, you will be asked to not wear jackets, so please layer appropriately – fingers crossed for good weather!
  • The staged portion of the event ends at 7:30pm to catch the sunset (photography ends), although you are welcome to hang out and enjoy the space (and each other) until 10pm!
  • Kids will be released from the Penwell Room at 7:30pm – they are welcome to join you in the penthouse is you wish to stay.
