What is Forest of Wishes?
December 1, 2025 – January 1, 2026
Forest of Wishes is Chateau Victoria’s annual holiday fundraiser supporting Threshold Housing Society, a local organization working to prevent youth homelessness in Greater Victoria. For an entire month, our hotel entrance transforms into a forest of handwritten wishes, each one representing hope and community spirit. Guests and locals are invited to:
- Share a holiday wish
- Make a donation to Threshold and support youth aged 15-24 who are seeking stability and a safe place to call home
- Win amazing prizes including premium hotel experiences and chef’s dinner for four (total value of prizes over $3,500)
Every donation directly supports youth housing, wellness, and wraparound support programs.
Downtown Forest of Wishes Event
December 14th | 11am – 2pm
Start your annual Holliday celebration WITH SANTA! in the heart of downtown Victoria, at The Chateau Victoria’s Forest of Wishes.
Enjoy Hotdogs, holiday refreshments & music to warm your sole before you explore the other many holiday attractions downtown. Children’s activities and free parking (while available). Donate for your Holliday wish ornament to hang in our forest. You can enjoy:
- Photos with Santa
- Festive music (we will have carolers on-site!)
- Free food, cookies and seasonal beverages
- Children’s holiday activities
All proceeds in 2025, made online, or in person, from donations to the Forest of Wishes go to the Threshold Housing Society!

Threshold Housing opens doors for youth and prevents adult homelessness. Threshold serves youth at-risk-of or experiencing homelessness, aging out of care, or fleeing violence in the home. These young adults need a place to call home and people who believe in them.
