What is Threshold Housing Society?
At Threshold Housing Society, youth at risk of homelessness in Greater Victoria find community, support, understanding, and a place to call home where they are accepted for who they are. Threshold provides safe housing, support services, community, and prevention for youth aged 15-24 years at risk of homelessness. They offer youth and their families robust and individualized support with a focus on healing from trauma and preventing future hardship.
As winners of Victoria’s Chamber of Commerce’s 2024 distinction as best non-profit of the year, we look forward to working with the passion-driven Threshold team to make a positive impact in our community together!

This Christmas, Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is supporting the Threshold Housing Society to help prevent homelessness in Victoria. We want to do our part, so have donated a suite of sweet prizing to the cause. We hope you support the campaign with a donation and a wish.

Stocking Stuffers that Give Back!
Chateau Victoria will act as a retail outlet for Threshold’s Shine a Light on Youth campaign.
Since 2017, Shine a Light on Youth has helped raise funds and awareness of the work that Threshold Housing Society does in effort to end youth homelessness and prevent adult homelessness.
100% of proceeds from each box sold comes in full to Threshold Housing as they continue to expand their housing and support services for youth.

3″ Crowfoot Collective Beeswax Candle
Also being introduced this year is a 3″ locally manufactured beeswax candle. Crowfoot Collective is a Vancouver Island-based Indigenous business that uses wild Vancouver Island beeswax to produce these calming, healing candles. The deep forest green of the Shine a Light Candles make a warm addition to the holidays whether you buy them for yourself or as gifts.
