Location & Parking

Lots of parking – 4 lots to be precise!

The Chateau Victoria is located on a street that changes names at various points, so please have our address 740 Burdett Ave locked into your GPS to help get you here with ease. We hope this graphic also helps with orientating you.

Some great points to note prior to your arrival:

  • Our parking lots offer the most economical overnight option amongst Victoria’s downtown hotel properties, even at full price ($20/ nt)
  • Parking is even cheaper (50% off) when you book with us directly
  • We have 4 lots to choose from, and if you can’t find an open stall, let us park your vehicle for you (we have some sneaky spots)
  • There are 6 designated E/V charging stations onsite (located in the lower lot), complimentary for registered guests only
  • Arriving by bus, or walk on ferry? We are located next to downtown’s main transit transfer station which makes it easy to get around on foot – click here to book a shuttle.

Environmental Initiatives

The Earth is our home. We live, work, and play here. How we care for it matters.

That is why at Chateau Victoria we are committed to reducing our environmental footprint. We are proud to hold a 4 Key Rating with The Hotel Association of Canada’s Green Key Eco-Rating Program and have recently accomplished Biosphere Sustainable designation. Over the past several years we have introduced many environmentally-friendly practices into our daily work life throughout the property including:

Reducing Single-Use Plastics

  • Guest rooms and public washrooms feature dispensers for toiletries made from sustainable materials, eliminating single-use plastic bottles and minimizing product wastage.
  • Nespresso coffee machines in every room use a comprehensive pod recycling program, and we ensure all coffee grounds are composted.
  • Our guest rooms feature toilet paper and facial tissue dispensers made from bamboo—a sustainable alternative that reduces waste.
  • Our innovative 3D printing program uses biodegradable materials to create stir sticks and beverage decorations, significantly reducing single-use plastic waste.
  • Filtered water fountains and filling stations are available throughout the property, eliminating the need for single-use water bottles. We also offer reusable water bottles for purchase.

Sustainable Dining & Food Practices

  • We maintain our own herb garden and create menus focusing on local, seasonal ingredients to reduce food miles and support regional producers.
  • All organic kitchen waste is recycled and composted by a local waste management company for community projects, completing the farm-to-table-to-farm cycle.
  • Guest rooms with kitchen facilities are equipped with compost bins to support our comprehensive waste management program.
  • Both of our dining outlets, Vista 18 & Clive’s Classic Lounge use electronic “smart candles” on tables to eliminate the use of butane fuel cells.

Comprehensive Recycling & Waste Management

  • All metal, paper, plastic, and glass products are systematically recycled through our comprehensive waste management program.
  • Furniture, linens, and other items being replaced are donated to local charitable organizations, extending their useful life and supporting community needs.
  • Housekeeping exclusively uses biodegradable cleaning products to minimize environmental impact.

Energy Conservation

  • Our recently installed LUX laundry system significantly reduces energy and water consumption while maintaining premium cleaning standards.
  • Our pool water is partially heated by recycling warm air from the pool area, creating a more energy-efficient heating system.
  • Vista 18 features specialized window film to minimize heating and cooling loads.
  • High-efficiency boilers throughout the property maximize energy conservation while ensuring guest comfort.
  • Double-paned energy-efficient windows are installed throughout the property to reduce heating and cooling demands.
  • Energy-efficient lighting is used throughout all hotel areas to minimize electricity usage.
  • We prioritize clean-burning natural gas for our energy needs, reducing our carbon footprint.

Water Conservation

  • Our courtyard fountain operates with a closed-loop water recycling system to conserve this precious resource.
  • Low-flow toilets in all areas significantly reduce water consumption without compromising functionality.
  • To conserve resources, bed linens and towels are not automatically changed daily for stay-over guests unless requested.

Sustainable Transportation Options

  • Six designated electric vehicle charging stations are available in our parking areas, supporting guests and patrons who choose eco-friendly transportation.
  • We provide guests with a secure bike lock-up room, walking maps, and information on public transit to encourage sustainable transportation options.
