About Chateau Victoria

Built in 1975, Chateau Victoria Hotel & Suites is a locally owned and operated full-service hotel located in the heart of downtown Victoria, BC.
The hotel boasts 176 guestrooms, including 58 traditional guest rooms, 110 deluxe suites, and two penthouse levels. The hotel is known for its stunning rooftop restaurant, Vista 18, and Clive’s Classic Lounge located off the lobby (2022 #20 in the TOP 50 Bars in Canada + 2021 Top 10 hotel bars in the Americas by Tales of the Cocktail). On site you will find a pool, hot tub, exercise room, and two well-appointed meeting rooms. There are four levels of self-parking at $20.00 per night (50% off if you book direct) and a secure bike room.

Welcoming Guests Since 1990
Brenda’s career started in the restaurant business with the Keg Steakhouse and Chandlers. She joined Clive Piercy’s corporate group early in her career and became a vital contributor towards the success and development of the retail and hotel divisions within the company. Her fair but persistent management style, combined with a keen sense of detail, first earned her the role as Assistant Hotel Manager followed by General Manager of the Chateau Victoria in 1999.



Welcoming Guests Since 2007
Kevin’s food and beverage career started in Calgary. He moved to Victoria in 2003 and started at Vista 18 as a Bartender. Although he left for other management positions, Kevin knew he wanted to be at Chateau Victoria. In 2007 the right opportunity came along, and he returned as Food and Beverage Manager. Now holding the position of Operations Manager, Kevin couldn’t be happier.

Mark’s hotel career started on the West Coast, and took him across the country with various companies including Hyatt, Hilton, Fairmont and Starwood. The lure of our coast, and the chance to blend corporate experience with a great local business is what brought him to Chateau Victoria. For Mark, he’s found his dream job.



Welcoming guests since 1998
Mike Dunlop earned his cooking degree from Malaspina University in 1992. Since then, he has held top culinary positions in notable Victoria establishments such as Topos Ristorante Italiano and the Inn at Laurel Point. Mike joined the culinary team at the Chateau Victoria in 1998 and has been an integral part of the team that put Vista 18 and Clive’s Classic Lounge on the map.



Welcoming guests since 2016
Island born and raised, Geoff began his hospitality career during his Commerce degree at UVic: a double practicum at Fairmont Hot Springs Resort in the Kootenays got him hooked on hotel management. Back in Victoria, he returned to school to earn his accounting designation, became part of the Chateau Victoria family, and is now doing what he loves at a property he loves.
